EMI R&D staff member David (far right) gave a tour of the EMI R&D facilities to Mary, Nathan, and me on Monday.
We met in the conference room to talk through various aspects of the water box and field trials: such as how UV works to provide disinfection, the approach to introducing the water box to potential participants, and how to approach the end of the trial survey.
We visited a nearby Local Council 1 (neighborhood government official) to give Mary and Nathan practice in introducing the water box and field trial. The LC1, shown, was receptive and thought that people in his neighborhood would be very interested in participating.
We taught Nathan and Mary how to install and remove the time tracking circuit board. They are assisting David with adding these to the units shipped to Uganda.
